The pad itself is approx 6' X 11' with the thickness being 5'' in the

middle with a gentle slope on the edges(added strength). This in turn puts

Things to consider;
Possibility
of driving car over pad in future.
Base is compacted and surface is
crushed rock
Using rebar mat (1/4''dia ?)

Thanks

Pour a 6' x 5.5' pad the night before & then do the rest the

next day. Two layers of concrete are not as good as one layer. Put a

piece of plywood or whatever you have for forms down the middle & then

take it out the next day for the second pour. This will also lessen the

chances of it cracking. You would need to have two separate meshes. The

compaction that you have done is the biggest factor. If you are in a place
with ice & frost then realize that moisture can & will get between the
layers & thus separate them--not in a week but over time.

It sounds to me like you have it well under control. I might

also use vertical rebar lenghts to solidify the connection between ur base

I can not help you with ur additional help, however, if you wish to (in

the future) drive ur car on this slab, you NEED to reinforce ur connection
from ur lower level to ur surface level. Not horizontally, but vertically.

As you have it designed, the weakest point is the center. If you do not
tie ur first pour to ur second, you will weaken ur design, which has
essential good merit.

Yes but use a 3'' top layer.

leave the surface of the first layer rough so the top layer has something
